Classic Cookie "Raisin" Awareness For Alzheimer's

Did you know that Alzheimer's disease is the sixth-leading cause of death for adults in the United States? (CDC)

Every year, more and more adults suffer from this heartbreaking disease. In Classic Cookie's hometown of Sevierville, TN, the disease is also prevalent among its adult population.

To help find a cure, Classic has teamed up with the local Alzheimer's Association branch to raise awareness and funds for the organization in the month of August 2022.

To kick off their fundraising season, the Alzheimer's Association coordinated a Paint the Town Purple event across Knox and Sevier County. The association encouraged businesses to decorate storefronts and ask employees to wear purple to show support and awareness in the community.

Without a current storefront, Classic Cookie decided to take its purple individually packaged oatmeal raisin cookie and make it the focus of the event's efforts. For the entire month of August, the company will be giving back 15% of online sales on oatmeal raisin back to the Alzheimer's Association.
